Parent Support Group
In reflecting upon the Youth & Family Ministry, as I stepped into the role of Director, I found it hard to ignore the need for a Parent support group. Parents were experiencing some very challenging times in our community. Upon thorough discussion with leaders in the Education and Prayer sector, I asked one of our members, a licensed, professional Marriage and Family Therapist to facilitate a Parent's Support Group. This group meets once a month and has been very successful in serving the needs of the families. What does this have to do with education? Our program consists of children and their parents. Spiritual Education goes beyond the classroom. It is how we lead by example in our community with love and compassion. It is all about relationship. We are here to serve each other.
